Mrs B got in touch with us in February 2023 about damage being caused in her property by a leak from the Flat above. She had been reporting this to her landlord, the Council, for around 3 years but they did not offer any resolution. We sent a surveyor to comment on the disrepair in her home and started negotiations with the Council. By May 2023, we managed to reach an agreement with the Counsel who agreed to pay Mrs B £2,500 in compensation and complete the repairs within no more than 120 days. Mrs B confirmed to us that all of the repairs were completed within the agreed timescale and was very thankful for our help. We are glad to hear that Mrs B now has a safe and comfortable home.
