Mrs D had an ongoing leak from her bathroom that unfortunately caused her living room ceiling to collapse. Her landlord had attended her home on several occasions and made her ceiling safe but failed to identify the source of the leak, the issue therefore returned, and Mrs D lived in constant fear of a further ceiling collapse. Mrs D lost faith in her landlord’s ability to comply with their obligations as her landlord and decided to start a claim with us in July 2023. Due to the urgent health and safety risk we sent a surveyor to Mrs D’s home within 2 weeks and reached an agreement with her landlord by October 2023. Her landlord agreed to pay £2,500 compensation and to complete the repairs by January 2024.
